Breaded camembert

  • 450 g camembert, 4 rounds
  • 90 g bread crumbs
  • 70 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 pcs egg, whisked
  • 250 ml canola oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt, fresh ground

  1. Place flour in one bowl and egg in a second bowl.
  2. In a third bowl, add bread crumbs and salt then whisk to combine.
  3. Dip the cheese rounds in the flour to coat, then in the egg mixture, then finally in the crumb mixture.
  4. Dip each coated cheese into the egg mixture one more time, and then back in the crumb mixture one more time.
  5. Freeze the cheese about 15 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile heat the oil in a deep frying pan.
  7. Remove the cheese from the freezer and fry until golden.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
