Grilled chicken wings
- 8 pcs chicken wings, raw
- 1 1/2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 4 tbsp red paprika powder
- 2 tbsp salt
- 6 tbsp cane sugar
- 3 tbsp chili powder (optional)
- 1 tbsp black pepper, coarsely ground
- 0.125 tbsp cumin, ground
- 0.125 tbsp nutmeg, ground
- 1 clove garlic, mashed
- Combine all the chicken rub ingredients in a mixing bowl and set aside.
- Preheat your oven to 300°F .
- Lay out two big pieces of foil and divide the chicken wings equally on each.
- Generously pat the chicken wings with the chicken rub, all round.
- Arrange the wings over the foil to form tight packets.
- Place each packet on a baking sheet, one on the upper rack of the oven and the other on the lower.
- Bake the chicken for around 1 hour and rotate the baking sheets and bake for another hour.
- Once the 2 hours elapse, increase the temperature to 430°F and open each packet containing the chicken wings, careful not to pour the juices. Pour these juices to a sauce pan and arrange the chicken on the open foil papers and put the grilling mode for about 5-10 minutes.
- Remove the chicken from the oven once the skin becomes crispy, then set aside.
- Meanwhile, boil the chicken juices in the saucepan for around 5 minutes then add the honey. Let it simmer for 2 minutes then add the vinegar.
- Serve the chicken on a serving platter and drizzle with the sauce.
