Hungarian Pizza

  • 50 g rye flour
  • 100 g pastry flour
  • 150 g flour
  • 1 tsp dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 200 ml lukewarm water
  • 1 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cane sugar
  • 200 g bacon cubes
  • 4 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 pcs red onion, chopped
  • 50 g smoked cheese, grated
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch freshly ground black pepper
Preparation

  1. For the dough, mix the ingredients from the list, ending with the sugar.
  2. Knead the dough until it's shiny and starts to have bubbles on top.
  3. Let the dough rise until its size is doubled, cover it with a clean kitchen cloth.
  4. Knead the dough again on a floured bakeboard, then leave it for five more minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 220°C.
  6. Strech the dough by hand gently and place it onto the baking pan lined with baking sheet. Push the dough gently with your fingers and leave it again for 20 minutes.
  7. Mix the chopped garlic with the sour cream, salt, pepper, and spread the dough with the mixture.
  8. Sprinkle the bacon and the chopped red onion on top.
  9. Sprinkle the grated cheese at the end onto the dough, and bake it for 20-25 minutes until the bottom starts to be brown but the cheese is still light brown.
  10. Serve it hot!
