Pour water into a pot and add the frozen or raw cherries.
Start to heat on high, on halfway to a boil, add cinnamon sticks and cloves.
After boiled, turn off the heat and discard the spices. Take some cherries out for serving, 3-4 pcs for each glass.
Mash the remaining cherries with a potato masher, try to be really accurate, the point is to have more smaller pieces. Blending is not an option if you want to have a clean juice. If kids like fruit fibers, go on with blending.
After mashing or blending, filter the mixture through a very close-surfaced sieve, and repeat if needed to get a cleaner liquid.
Combine the cherry juice with the pomegranate juice then warm it on low heat.
For serving, place apple cubes and whole cherries in high glasses then add the punch when it's warm. Place a teaspoon in each glass.
