Orange-marinated salmon fillets

Baked on the oven

  • 800 g salmon fillets, 4pcs
  • 3 pcs orange, washed
  • 1 pcs lime, washed
  • 2 tbsp canola oil
  • 1/2 tbsp coarse salt
  • 1 bunch thyme, fresh

  1. Clean the salmon fillets and place into a glass bowl.
  2. Squeeze the orange juice from 1 orange and the lime.
  3. Pour the juice onto the fish and place the bowl covered into the fridge for one hour.
  4. Before baking, preheat the oven and prepare a heat-proof baking dish. Oil it with the canola oil.
  5. Place the fish slices into it, pouring some orange juice to the dish, only a few tbsps to avoid burning.
  6. Slice the remaining orange and sprinkle the salt on the fillets, then cover them with the orange slices.
  7. Place the thyme sprigs around the fillets and cover the dish. Place it into the oven and bake it covered for 20 minutes on 130°C.
  8. For the last 5 minutes, uncover the fillets and roast the oranges on top.
  9. Serve it immediately.
