Steamed fish in lime dressing

  • 400 g cod fillets
  • 2 pcs limes, sliced in 0.5cm thick rounds
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled, chopped
  • 1 pcs green chili pepper, raw, chopped
  • 1 pcs red chili pepper, raw, chopped
  • 4 tbsp lime juice, fresh
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp soy sauce
  • 2 pcs lemongrass, raw, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt, fresh ground
  • 1/4 tsp pepper, fresh ground

  1. First steam the fish fillets; place the lemongrass also in steaming basket then steam over double boiler for 15 minutes.
  2. Season with salt and pepper then top with lime slices. Steam for 5 more minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, combine lime juice, honey, and soy sauce in a pot. Add chopped chili peppers and garlic, bring it to a boil on high heat, contsantly stirring.
  4. Serve fish on platter and drizzle with prepared sauce.
